The Band started with Tom and Paul getting together a few times and jamming with area musicians. Tom’s style of “Hendrix/Vaughn” blistering guitar work fit well with Paul’s hard driving drum style. We were just trying to keep in shape (musically) and have a little fun and diversion from work and family. You could call it a hobby. Some guys fish, some play softball…We play music.
Paul met Dave at the gym and found out he was retiring from working on the road with The Joe Mazzari Band. He still wanted to play, but on more of a relaxed schedule.
Dave joined Tom & Paul and we knew right away his bass sound was a perfect match for our “Pit-bull” style of blues.
After several rehearsals, we talked about finding a front man and maybe playing in front of a live audience again. We ran ads in local music publications and after a few auditions we met Brad. His vocal range and stage presence where exactly what we needed. Then he opened a can of whoop-ass on the harmonica! It was like the sky opened up and rained music. He was an on the spot addition.
We dedicated the rest of 2005 to rehearsing and are now ready to have some fun. We want to share our love for Blues with an Attitude across New England!
